The German lyric soprano, Simone Nold, received her musical education at the Hochschule für Musik, where she studied with Reri Grist. Additionally, she was member of the Lieder class of Helmut Deutsch. In 1993, she attended a Lieder class of Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau in Berlin. Due to a scholarship of the DAAD she studied at Indiana University Bloomington in 1993 and 1994. She was able to gain her first stage experience as Pamina in the renowned operatic program of the university. She completed her degree in Bloomington in 1995 and returned to Munich, where she completed her studies in 1996.
Simone Nold has been an ensemble member of the Deutsche Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin since 1996-97, where she debuted as Gretel in Engelbert Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel and has appeared as Pamina in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte and Elisetta in Cimarosa’s Il Matrimonio Segreto. She also made her debuts at the Innsbrucker Festwochen fur Alte Musik as Smorflosa in Gassman'sL'Opera Seria conducted by René Jacobs. In the seasons that followed she sang among others Pamina, Ännchen in Der Freischütz, Carolina in Il matrimonio segreto, Clerida in Der Hochmütige, "Gestürzte und Wieder Erhabene Croesus" and Madeleine in Le Post
