Dr. Webel’s clinical research laboratory is dedicated to generating high-quality evidence to help individuals with HIV live and age well, with a particular focus on diet and exercise. She has extensively published in this field, with over 175 manuscripts addressing HIV and aging, behavioral science, and global health. Her research has been supported by institutions including the National Institute for Nursing Research, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, the American Heart Association, Andy Hill Foundation, Gilead Sciences, and the National Institute on Aging.
Building on her early clinical experiences in public and global health, Dr. Webel has spent the past 15 years developing a robust research portfolio aimed at improving the lives of adults with HIV. Trained as an interdisciplinary scientist during her predoctoral and postdoctoral studies, she continues to lead and collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams.

Born in Manhattan, New York City, Donner grew up in New Jersey, Michigan and Texas. Upon graduating from high school, he spent four years in the US Navy, where he was stationed in California, serving as he put it "three years, 11 months, 29 days, and six and one-half hours". Deciding he liked living there, upon his release from the Navy, he moved to Los Angeles where he worked odd jobs and attended college at Cal State Northridge. Living in an apartment in Studio City.
